St. Paul to Dedicate Weekend, Street to Bruce Springsteen and his band

By Christian Betancourt

In advance of Bruce Springsteen‘s return to the Twin Cities, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman plans to declare November 9-12 “Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Weekend in Saint Paul.” Additionally, two local streets will be ceremonially renamed for the weekend. Kellogg Blvd. will be renamed “Springsteen Rd.” and West 7th St. will be renamed “E Street” for the weekend of his performances.

This Friday at 3:30pm, Mayor Coleman,  Xcel Energy Center’s Jack Larson and local business owners will ceremoniously replace the street signs during a declaration ceremony and street renaming event. The event is scheduled to occur outside Gate 2 of the Xcel Energy Center, where the two streets meet. Fans welcome to attend.

No info was released whether “The Boss” and his band will make an appearance at the ceremony.

Tickets are still available for both shows on Nov. 11th and 12th. Ticket info here.
